Unilase has launched a compact single-stage laser amplifier that can scale-up low power seed lasers. For example, a 1mW IR laser in CW or pulsed (ps to ns) mode, can have its output power amplified to >4W, and a 300mW input beam can be amplified to >18W. The mini-slab DPSS design and scalable architecture offers high gain and high average power output with excellent beam quality. In combination with a pulsed seed laser, efficient conversion of the amplified laser into the green and the UV wavelengths is achievable.
Applications include the testing and measurement of laser systems, higher throughput production of micromachining and marking, scientific research and lidar.
